SingAlliance strengthens its investment team with appointment of Senior Portfolio Manager

SingAlliance today announced the appointment of Cheng Wee Lee to the position of SingAlliance Pte Ltd’s Senior Portfolio Manager.

 

Wee Lee is a Singaporean with more than 27 years of experience in the corporate banking and investment management industry, of which more than 14 years are in fixed income asset management.

 

He started his career in 1993 with Citibank Singapore where he spent 6 years in corporate account management and corporate credit analysis. In 2001, he took on a similar role within DBS Bank Singapore before moving on to the Group’s risk department to engage in corporate credit risk review assignments across various corporate lending businesses within the bank.

 

In August 2006, Wee Lee joined Standard & Poor’s as a corporate rating analyst covering South & South East Asia corporate credits. Subsequently, he joined NN Investment Partners (previously known as ING Investment Management) in July 2008 for 10 years. He served as a Senior Credit Analyst covering oil & gas, chemicals, commodities and telecoms & technology sectors in Asia and as a secondary Portfolio Manager for the Asian Bond Funds and institutional mandates. In 2020, Wee Lee moved on to Credit Suisse Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager covering discretionary portfolio mandates, specialising in fixed-income.

 

Wee Lee graduated from Deakin University, Australia with a Bachelor of Business in Accounting. He also holds a Master of Applied Finance from University of Melbourne, Australia.
