We are pleased to announce the appointment of André Allain as Senior Advisor of SingAlliance (Switzerland) SA.
André, of Swiss and Brazilian nationality, has lived in Switzerland for over 45 years. He graduated with a degree in economics and business from HEC Lausanne in 1978 and an MBA from IMD Lausanne in 1984.
André started his career in 1979 as a trader with Overseas Foodstuff Import Trading Company in Lausanne, a coffee and foodstuff trading company. After his MBA, he moved into management consulting for companies, notably with American Express (Trade Development Bank) in Geneva in 1985 and then as Client Director from 1986.
In 1990, he joined Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) in Geneva as a member of the Investment Committee and as Head of the Southern Europe and Latin America division from 1991. From 1994 to 1997, he was a member of the bank’s Executive Committee and Credit Committee.
In early 1998, André founded Investglob SA, an independent asset management company. He specialises in thematic investments, particularly in real assets, including natural resources such as gold, silver, copper, and uranium mining companies.
