Christopher Demetropoulos is a French and American national with over 20 years of experience in the finance and banking industry.
Christopher began his career at BNP Paribas in Paris in 1998 as a Financial Engineer and Valuation Expert in Corporate Finance M&A. He later served as the Head of Institutional Sales of Equities and Structured Products for Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Turkey and the Middle East.
In 2010, Christopher founded Private Client Portfolio Europe – Emerging Markets in Paris, a third-party marketing company serving institutional and UHNW clients in Greece, Malta and Switzerland.
Christopher relocated to Switzerland in 2013, where he transitioned into the wealth management industry, serving as Head of Bank, Head of Private Banking and Head of EAM at Banque Cantonale de Genève, Zürich. In 2018, he assumed the role of Country Head for Greece and Cyprus at Bank J. Safra Sarasin Ltd. in Geneva. Christopher was most recently Managing Director of a multi-family office.
In recent years, Christopher has also been an active business angel and senior advisor in the private equity and venture capital space for numerous start-ups and continues to act as a non-executive board member. Christopher holds an MSc in Political Economy of Transition in Europe from the London School of Economics.
