Bruno Desgardins

Chief Investment Officer

Bruno graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) and holds a Master’s in Economics from Paris IX Dauphine and a Master’s in Business Law from Paris X Nanterre. He started his career in 1982 at the Banque de l’Union Européenne in Paris first as a financial analyst before taking on the role of geographic area manager in the international department from 1985 to 1987, and finally as equity trading Director from 1987 to 1988.

 

In 1988, he joined Banque NSM, Neuflize Schlumberger Mallet, a subsidiary of ABN AMRO. He then acted as the Director of the Department for Foreign Institutional three years later, where he headed the Financial Analysis Department for five years. From 1995 to 2000, he was the Director in charge of mergers and acquisitions, advisory activities and initial public offerings at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance.


From 2000 to 2019, he served as a member of the Executive Management of Banque Eric Sturdza, formerly Banque Barings, leading the Investment Committee, the Management Committee, trading activities, the Risk Committee and the supervision of account managers.


Bruno joined SingAlliance (Switzerland) SA, Geneva, in 2020 as Chief Investment Officer.


In parallel to his professional activity, Bruno is a member of the Reading Committee at the Geneva Reading Society. He has published two books at Dunod Editions, “Nouvel environnement économique international” and “Stratégies d’internationalisation” in collaboration, as well as various articles in the financial-economic press. Bruno was also a Lecturer at Sciences-Po Paris from 1988 to 1999.
